A Great Loss

This post is for a baseball Hall of Famer who touched every Minnesotan kid's life during the time he was playing. Kirby Puckett died today of complications due to the stroke he suffered on Sunday morning.

Let's take a moment to remember the outfielder who caused your face to light up and your heart to soar when he slammed the ball or practically flew to catch those balls everyone thought were a lost cause. A moment for the name that made you jump up from your seat when you heard the announcer cry "KIRBBBBYYYY PUCKEEEEETT!" over the cries of the crowd. A moment for a baseball legend.
